Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the Sailors and civilians serving in the facility’s Pharmacy during the month of October, 2025. October is known as “American Pharmacists Month,” with October 19 to October 25 as “National Pharmacy Week” and October 21 as “National Pharmacy Technician Day.” The clinic’s Pharmacy team ensures the wellness and safety of patients each day through the issuance of medication and instruction of its use while ensuring service members have the prescriptions needed to maintain their medical readiness.

ScriptCenters are contactless, automated lockers employing state-of-the-art technology and provide convenient and secure access to most prescriptions. Cherry Point’s ScriptCenter is inside the Marine Corps Exchange building, adjacent to the internal Commissary entrance.

ScriptCenter Opens Aboard MCAS Cherry Point

MCAS Cherry Point — Leaders aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point marked the inauguration of a resource improving the method and manner Marines, Sailors and beneficiaries receive prescriptions aboard the base.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Sophia Crews is the U.S. Navy’s Junior Pharmacy Technician of the Year for 2023. The Phoenix Arizona Native serves aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point as the Leading Petty Officer of the facility’s Pharmacy and credits the encouragement her father, a former rescue swimmer, as her inspiration to continue serving.
