YOUR VISION IS OUR  MISSION!

Due to ongoing staffing shortages, our provider availability is extremely limited.  Some services may not be available at this time.  Please give the appointment line a call at 252-466-0921 to confirm.

Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point Optometry offers:

Vision Screenings

Vision screenings for physical or occupational forms that don’t require an eye exam or signature from a medical provider may be completed on a walk-in basis. We currently offer testing for near visual acuity, distance visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, field of vision, intraocular pressure, accommodation, heterophorias, and lensometry. Please bring glasses or contacts if required for testing and any paperwork you need filled out.

Routine / Comprehensive Eye Examinations (Active Duty Only)

Eye exams use a series of advanced tests and evaluations to provide more information about your vision and your eye health. A comprehensive exam begins with a review of your personal medical history, along with a review of any symptoms you may be having. If you wear corrective lenses, your prescription will be checked as well. Please bring glasses /contacts if you have them and any paperwork you may need filled out.

Contact Lens Services (Active Duty Only)

Due to ongoing staffing shortages, we are unable to provide contact lens services without detrimentally affecting all other clinic services and access to care. Until further notice, contact lens appointments will only be made on a case-by-case basis for AD personnel with medical conditions that require a medically necessary contact lens prescription. (Keratoconus, Aphakia, etc.)

Cosmetic contact lens services are provided by some military treatment facilities as a COURTESY service to develop and preserve competency and proficiency for the professional personnel involved. Cosmetic or elective contact lens service, if provided, will not be permitted to interfere with the clinics basic eye care missions.
