MCAS Cherry Point — Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point recognized Sailors and staff at an awards ceremony held Wednesday, September 25 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.

Hospital Corpsman Second Class Alisa Winkler explains the use of Orthopedic Screws and surgical tools to children of a staff member serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Winkler and her team at the clinic’s Ambulatory Procedures Unit hosted an immersive experience for youths visiting as part of “Bring a Kid to Work Day” on Thursday, April 25.

Cherry Point Sailors Recognized for Assisting Fellow Sailor

MCAS Cherry Point — Two Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point received recognition for their actions assisting a fellow Sailor in need.

Hospital Corpsman Second Class Nancy Morales, center, received a Coin from Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, Commander of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, in recognition of her initiative and expertise on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Faced with low staffing over the 2023 holiday period, Morales, assigned to the clinic’s Readiness Department, developed a new system expediting service members’ Periodic Health Assessments, resulting in the rapid review of over 200 in a period of two weeks.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Colin Zuelzke and Hospital Corpsman Yuri Martinez both received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Thursday, January 11. Hospital Corpsman First Class Garret Fralix serves aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point as the Senior Enlisted Leader of the facility’s Directorate of Medical Services. With responsibilities spanning across three departments, Fralix approaches each duty day understating his service plays a vital role in the medical readiness of Marines aboard the base and the health of their family members.
