A Sailor serving aboard Naval Hospital Cherry Point, right, and the wife of Hospital Corpsman Second Class Abubakarr Daramy pin the rank of Petty Officer Second Class upon his collar during a frocking ceremony held aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point on Friday, July 16th. The frocking ceremony, a tradition permitting a service member to wear rank insignia they will advance to prior to their official promotion, honored the excellence and celebrated the potential of 11 Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point.

MCAS Cherry Point — Leadership of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point surprised 9 sailors with the news they will advance rank in the month of July.

The Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point color guard parades the national colors during the clinic’s change of command ceremony held Friday, June 4 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. Navy Capt. Elizabeth Adriano assumed command of the clinic, a keystone component of the air station’s medical readiness, during the ceremony.

MCAS Cherry Point — Leadership of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point changed hands during a ceremony held earlier this summer.

The display honoring the courage and sacrifice of Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class William D. Halyburton at Halyburton Medical Clinic on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. Halyburton sacrificed his life to save a comrade May 10, 1945 during the Battle of Okinawa.

MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina — As a young man growing up in Fresno, California, Navy Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 1st Class James Williams knew without a doubt he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and serve in the U.S. Navy. However, he had always felt a call to be a firefighter.
