Cherry Point Sailor Promotes to Lieutenant

Petty Officer 3rd Class Natassia Martinez, RT (R), received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal in recognition for her dedication to the Carteret County Human Society and the Carteret Big Clean Sweep. Martinez, a native of Murrieta, California, serves as a Radiologic Technologist aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point and enjoys the opportunity to serve the Eastern NC community through work benefitting animals.

MCAS Cherry Point — A Sailor serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point received recognition for her dedication to the Carteret community in a ceremony conducted Friday, January 7.

MCAS Cherry Point — Service members serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point completed a multi-day training program Thursday, October 14, sharpening their skills and capability to respond and augment base emergency services’ response to an incident involving hazardous material.

MCAS Cherry Point — Leadership of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point surprised 9 sailors with the news they will advance rank in the month of July.

The Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point color guard parades the national colors during the clinic’s change of command ceremony held Friday, June 4 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. Navy Capt. Elizabeth Adriano assumed command of the clinic, a keystone component of the air station’s medical readiness, during the ceremony.

Cherry Point Sailor Serves local Community as Corpsman, Volunteer Firefighter

MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina — As a young man growing up in Fresno, California, Navy Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 1st Class James Williams knew without a doubt he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and serve in the U.S. Navy. However, he had always felt a call to be a firefighter.
