Cherry Point Clinic Celebrates Service, Dedication of Mr. Tyrone Nevels

MCAS Cherry Point — Staff aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrate the service and dedication of Mr. Tyrone Nevels. Nevels departed the clinic Thursday, January 11, 2024 after serving aboard the facility for 22 years as a General Schedule Civilian Radiology Technologist.

Two Corpsmen serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point received awards for their service to patients and fellow staff. Hospital Corpsman Third Class Colin Zuelzke and Hospital Corpsman Yuri Martinez both received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Thursday, January 11. Zuelzke, served aboard the clinic in Patient Centered Medical Home and Martinez Hernandez in Preventative Medicine.

Urcinole, center, with folder, served aboard the clinic as a Nurse Consultant in the Healthcare Business department and was presented her five-year-service pin by Capt. Sean Barbabella, commander of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, during a ceremony November 28.

With responsibilities spanning across three departments, Fralix approaches each duty day understating his service plays a vital role in the medical readiness of Marines aboard the base and the health of their family members.

The Phoenix Arizona Native serves aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point as the Leading Petty Officer of the facility’s Pharmacy and credits the encouragement her father, a former rescue swimmer, as her inspiration to continue serving.

Chief Hospital Corpsman Felix Colon (Fleet Marine Force / Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist) accepts the flag of the United States of America as a token of his faithful 23 years of service to the nation during a ceremony held Thursday, November 2, 2023 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Colon retired during the ceremony, ending his service as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Directorate of Clinical Support Services and Directorate of Medical Services at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point.
