MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated excellence in patient care and technical expertise while bidding fond farewells at an awards ceremony conducted Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the retirement of a Chief Petty Officer and the accomplishments of Sailors and civilians during a ceremony conducted Wednesday, May 29 aboard the Clinic. MCAS Cherry Point — Staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the retirement of a Chief Petty Officer and the accomplishments of Sailors and civilians during a ceremony conducted Wednesday, May 29 aboard the Clinic.

Cherry Point Sailors Honor Veterans at Community Celebration

Havelock, North Carolina — Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point conducted the “Old Glory” ceremony at the Havelock Chamber of Commerce’s 21st Annual Salute to the Vets celebration held at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center on Monday, May 14, 2024.

The Presidential Volunteer Service Award pin awarded to Mr. Al Younger, and American Red Cross Volunteer, during a ceremony conducted Monday, May 13 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Younger received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award during the ceremony for his 4,000 hours of volunteer service conducted over 30 years with the American Red Cross.

Cherry Point Clinic Celebrates 116th Navy Nurse Birthday

MCAS Cherry Point — Staff and Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the 116th birthday of the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps during a ceremony conducted Monday, May 13 in the clinic’s pavilion.

Navy Lieutenant Sarah Cruz will continue her career as a U.S. Navy Nurse by attending Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, to earn a Master of Science in Public Health. Cruz served aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, ending her duty there as Department Head of the facility’s Patient Centered Medical Home.

MCAS Cherry Point — A Navy Nurse serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point will soon depart for the next chapter in her career that will change the trajectory of her service.

Cherry Point Clinic Celebrates Sailors of the Quarter

MCAS Cherry Point — Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the accomplishments and service of Sailors serving aboard the facility Tuesday, April 30 during a luncheon held at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point’s Hancock Marina.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Miguel Rodriguez will depart Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point in Summer, 2024 to attend the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. Rodriguez served aboard the clinic as an Advanced Radiology Technologist and led the facility’s Radiology Department’s daily operations.

Cherry Point Sailor to Depart, Begin Journey to Commissioning as an Officer

MCAS Cherry Point — A Cherry Point Sailor will continue his Navy career later this year by embarking on a rigorous course of academic and physical development prior to attending the U.S. Naval Academy.

Hospital Corpsman Second Class Alisa Winkler explains the use of Orthopedic Screws and surgical tools to children of a staff member serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Winkler and her team at the clinic’s Ambulatory Procedures Unit hosted an immersive experience for youths visiting as part of “Bring a Kid to Work Day” on Thursday, April 25.

MCAS Cherry Point — Staff aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point enjoyed a day with their children as they participated in “Bring a Kid to Work Day” on Thursday, April 25.

Staff aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point bid Fair Winds and Following Seas to Navy Lieutenant Kurt Backer at a ceremony Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Backer began his service aboard the clinic in June 2021, ending as the Department Head of the facility’s Readiness Clinic. He led a team ensuring the deployment readiness of military units assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal in recognition of his service.
