Ms. Claudia Houston of the New Bern Historical Society describes the discovery of African-American veteran's burials and their history in New Bern. Titled "History of Our Veterans Buried at the Greenwood Cemetery," Houston's presentation, part of the clinic's celebration of Black History Month, described the life and service of some of the African-American veterans buried at the cemetery and efforts to restore their headstones.

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and civilians serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point gathered Wednesday, February 15 at the installation chapel to celebrate the life of Ms. Gail Lindsey.

Navy Captain Elizabeth Adriano, Commander of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, speaks during a memorial ceremony celebrating the life of the late Hospitalman Luigi D. Giovanni held Thursday, February 2 at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Chapel. Giovanni served aboard the clinic as a Pharmacy Technician prior to his passing late January, 2023.

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and civilians serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point honored the life and service of a Sailor who recently passed away.

A hearty BravoZulu to Hospital Corpsman Second Class Natassia Martinez! Martinez served aboard the clinic as Leading Petty Officer, Radiology Department from early 2019 to early 2023. She was recently presented the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for her exceptional service and knowledge. We wish her Fair Winds and Following Seas as she departs for the next chapter in her Navy career.

Navy Lieutenant Sara Cruz, BSN, RN, CMSRN, serves aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point as the Department Head for the facility’s Patient Centered Medical Home. She and her team provide medical care to retirees and family members of active-duty service members residing on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and in a nearby communities.

Ms. Deanna Patterson served aboard the clinic for over 21 years, concluding her service as a Medical Records Technician in the facility’s Readiness Clinic. She received the Civilian Service Commendation Medal during a ceremony held Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Hospital Corpsmen Third Class Nathan Zachreus serves as the Lead Petty Officer for the Immunization Clinic aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Zachreus was recently recognized as the clinic’s Junior Sailor of the Year.
