Sailors, Civilians Honored at Cherry Point Clinic’s February Award Ceremony

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and civilians serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point gathered Wednesday, February 28 to recognize the excellence and accomplishments of their peers.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Jeovony Cameron reads a vignette describing the service and accomplishments of Howard P. Perry, the first African American to arrive at Montfort Point, during a Black History Month observance conducted Friday, February 23. The vignette was part of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point’s Black History Month observance highlighting the “Golden 13,” and their perseverance to serve in the U.S. Navy in 1944.

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and civilians serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point gathered Friday, February 23, 2024 to honor Black History Month.

Cherry Point Naval Officers Conduct Intermediate Leadership Course

MCAS Cherry Point — Leaders serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point gathered mid-February 2024 to hone their craft and develop awareness of emerging challenges facing Sailors in the U.S. Navy.

Sailors and Civilians serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point trained to earn their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt aboard the facility in early February 2024. Staff underwent the training to prepare themselves to serve as “change-agents” and lead process improvement projects aboard the clinic by applying disciplined, data-driven approaches.

Cherry Point Clinic Staff Train for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and Civilians serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point trained to earn their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt aboard the facility in early February 2024. Staff underwent the training to prepare themselves to serve as “change-agents” and lead process improvement projects aboard the clinic by applying disciplined, data-driven approaches.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Ernest Espiritu, left, and Hospitalman Nidya Salazar, right, were recognized by Capt. Sean Barbabella, Commander of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, for their excellence in patient care. Espiritu and Salazar recently completed a process improvement project aboard the clinic involving the creation, implementation and sustainment of inventory binders. Both serve in the facility’s Patient Centered Medical Homeport.

Cherry Point — Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point honors and celebrates the service of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point during National CRNA Week.

Navy Lt. Tess Bierl promoted from the rank of Lt. j.g. during a ceremony held Wednesday, January 10 aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Bierl serves in the clinic’s Patient Centered Medical Home and its Occupational Health clinic.

Staff aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrate the service and dedication of Mr. Tyrone Nevels. Nevels, center, departed the clinic Thursday, January 11, 2024 after serving aboard the facility for 22 years as a General Schedule Civilian Radiology Technologist.

Cherry Point Clinic Celebrates Service, Dedication of Mr. Tyrone Nevels

MCAS Cherry Point — Staff aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrate the service and dedication of Mr. Tyrone Nevels. Nevels departed the clinic Thursday, January 11, 2024 after serving aboard the facility for 22 years as a General Schedule Civilian Radiology Technologist.

Two Corpsmen serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point received awards for their service to patients and fellow staff. Hospital Corpsman Third Class Colin Zuelzke and Hospital Corpsman Yuri Martinez both received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Thursday, January 11. Zuelzke, served aboard the clinic in Patient Centered Medical Home and Martinez Hernandez in Preventative Medicine.
