MCAS Cherry Point — Staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the promotion of Hospital Corpsman Third Class Jacob Scott with a “Tacking of the Crow” ceremony on Friday, February 7. Scott serves aboard the facility in the Physical Therapy Department.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Caue Uemura was recently awarded the Fleet Marine Force pin, a symbol representing his dedication to duty as both a Sailor and a Corpsman. Uemura received the pin during a ceremony held on Friday, February 7 aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point and is assigned to Marine Air Control Squadron 2.

Sanders serves aboard the facility as Leading Petty Officer for the Department of Public Health Services and Preventative Medicine Department.

Driving Innovation and Reducing Waste: Cherry Point Service Members, Civilians Complete Lean Six Sigma Training

MCAS Cherry Point — Members of the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point community are now better prepared to improve processes and reduce waste after attending a weeklong course held aboard the base in late January 2025.

Navy Lieutenant Kristin Thompson served four years aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, ending her service as Department Head of the facility’s Patient Centered Medical Home. During her time at the clinic, Thompson assisted her colleagues by leading focus groups and improving the delivery of women’s health services through the establishment of a walk-in contraceptive clinic. As the Director of PCMH, she oversaw 64 staff members providing healthcare to over 10,000 patients annually. Thompson was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal on Thursday, January 30 in recognition of her outstanding service and expertise.

Hospital Corpsman First Class Gabriela Tseh is the Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point Senior Sailor of the Year for 2024. Tseh serves aboard the clinic as the Pharmacy Technician Leading Petty Officer.

MCAS Cherry Point — Hospital Corpsman Second Class Ashlyn Sanders finds her work aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point meaningful because of the impact she and her team have on base and local communities.

Mr. Joseph Farland, right, at his retirement ceremony conducted Friday, December 13, 2024 aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Farland, a native of Falmouth, Massachusetts, served over 30 years with the U.S. Navy, retiring from active duty after 26 years as a Senior Chief Petty Officer another ten years with the clinic as the Emergency Manager, Anti-Terrorism Officer and Force Protection Officer.
